Carelessness

To remove half your finger once due to an incident with a salad spinner is an accident. To do it twice - on the same finger - smacks of carelessness. Or, at the very least, incompetence.

Love the connotations with the Wilde quote, though...
"To loose one parent, Mr. Worthing, may be considered as a misfortune, to loose both looks like carelessness" (sorry ´bout the spelling)!
