No, she does not get it. I really would like her to describe the group or groups that served as the source for the statistics she is citing. Where does she live? Maybe in her tiny hometown or suburban neighborhood things have changed, but I really don't see where/how attitudes have changed that much. And it's a bit disturbing to read her final paragraph--that's where she's coming from or at least people who share her opinion? Um, yes you can have an opinion about whether women should or should not overidentify/identify with T & L, but you can't have an opinion about facts... rape is rape, reality is reality, sexual harassment is sexual harassment...you get the point.
